Friday Force usage best practices

How AI credits work, what uses the most, and how to make your monthly allowance go further.

How usage works

Your Friday Force plan includes a monthly allowance of AI credits. Every time one of your AI teammates does work for you, that work draws from your credits. That includes Elena planning a campaign, Jasmine writing a post, Priya building your brand kit, Omar shaping a strategy, Luis spotting trends and Daniel reading your analytics.

Not every action draws the same amount. Some actions cost a fixed amount each time, such as generating an image. Others depend on how much work the AI actually does. A quick question uses far less than a long, research-heavy conversation. A five-post campaign uses far less than a multi-channel campaign full of images and video.

A few things are always true:

  • You're only charged for work that succeeds. If a generation fails, it doesn't count against you.
  • Every action has a ceiling. No single chat message or generation can run past a set maximum, so one action never drains your balance unexpectedly.
  • Plan credits refresh each billing period. Unused plan credits don't roll over. Extra credits you buy on a paid plan never expire and are used only after your plan credits run out.
  • On team plans, everyone shares one pool. Every member's activity draws from the same organization balance.

You can see your balance any time on the Billing page or in your profile menu.

Which actions use credits

Video is by far the heaviest action, followed by large campaigns and images. Text is generally light.

What can significantly affect your usage

Video generation

Video uses more credits than anything else in Friday Force. A single short video uses more than many images combined. A multi-clip video project multiplies that by the number of clips. Every regeneration of a video counts in full, so a few retries can add up quickly.

Launching big campaigns

A campaign's usage is the sum of everything it creates. Five text posts on one channel is a light campaign. Twenty posts across several channels, each with an image, plus blogs, carousels and videos, is a heavy one.

Each channel's post counts as its own item, and media inside the campaign counts the same as media you create on its own. Before a campaign launches, Friday Force checks that you have enough credits to finish it.

Images, carousels and image editing

Every image you generate counts once, and every edit counts as a new image. A carousel counts each slide as its own image, so a five-slide carousel uses about five times as much as a single image.

Blog cover images, infographics and brand kit moodboard images count the same way. Automatic quality checks and retries that Friday Force runs on an image don't cost you anything extra.

Long and extensive chats

Each message you send to an AI teammate is charged on its own. Its cost depends on how much the AI reads and writes to answer it. That includes recent conversation history, your brand and campaign context, any documents you've attached, and any web research it does. A message deep into a long conversation, or one that asks for research, uses more than a fresh, simple question.

Two things keep chats predictable. The AI only re-reads a limited window of recent messages, not your whole history. And each message has a fixed ceiling, so no single reply can run away with your balance. The biggest factor in chat usage is the number of messages, so many small back-and-forth corrections add up faster than one clear request.

Uploading heavy documents

When you upload a document, Friday Force uses AI to read it and write a summary your AI teammates can work from. That processing uses credits. Longer documents take more reading, so they use more than short ones, and every upload is processed separately. Files can be up to 20 MB. If processing fails, you aren't charged.

Documents also affect usage after the upload. Their summaries become part of what the AI reads when it works on that campaign, strategy or audience. Many large or loosely related documents mean more reading on every later message and generation in that space.

What doesn't use credits

These actions never draw from your credits:

  • Editing text yourself in posts, blogs and captions
  • Scheduling and publishing to your connected channels
  • Viewing your analytics dashboards (only AI-written insights use credits)
  • Automatic retries and quality checks on images
  • Failed generations
  • Adding team members

Best practices to get the most from your credits

Chats

  • Make one complete request instead of many small ones. "Make all five posts shorter, more playful, and add a call to action" uses less than five separate follow-ups.
  • Start a new conversation for a new topic. A fresh chat has less history for the AI to re-read.
  • Ask for web research only when you need it. Requests to look things up online use more than requests the AI can answer from your brand and campaign details.
  • Make small fixes yourself. Fixing a typo or swapping a word in the editor is free. Asking an AI teammate to do it is not.

Campaigns

  • Plan the campaign with Elena before you launch. Agree on the number of posts, channels and formats first. Changing the plan is cheap; regenerating a launched campaign is not.
  • Start small and scale what works. Launch a focused campaign, see what performs, then expand.
  • Choose video deliberately. A single video post can use more credits than the rest of a campaign combined. Use it where it will make the most difference.
  • Check the campaign summary before you confirm. The size of a campaign is the best predictor of its usage.

Images and video

  • Write a detailed prompt the first time. Include the subject, style, colors, mood and format. Use the prompt helpers to improve it; they use very little.
  • Edit when you're close, regenerate when you're far. Both count as a new image, so be specific in each edit about exactly what should change.
  • Use carousels where they add value. Each slide counts as an image, so a two-slide carousel uses far less than a ten-slide one.
  • Finalize the script and concept before generating video. Settle the idea in chat or text first, then generate once.

Documents

  • Upload what's relevant. Each document is processed and charged on its own. Attach the brief, brand guide or product sheet the AI actually needs, not a whole folder of files.
  • Prefer focused documents. A two-page brief uses less to process than a 200-page report, and it gives the AI clearer context.
  • Don't upload the same file twice. Re-uploading a document processes it again.
  • Keep brand details in your brand kit. Save your core brand information once instead of re-uploading it in each campaign.

Keep an eye on your balance

  • Check your balance on the Billing page, especially before a large campaign or a video project.
  • Watch for the low-balance warning. Friday Force alerts you when you've used 80% of your credits for the period.
  • On team plans, agree on who launches large campaigns and video so the shared pool isn't used up unexpectedly.

When you run low

When your credits reach zero, new AI actions pause until your plan renews or you add credits. Nothing you've already created is affected. Your posts, campaigns, scheduled content and analytics all stay in place, and scheduled posts still publish.

To keep working before your plan renews, you can:

  • Add credits from the Billing page (paid plans). Added credits never expire.
  • Upgrade your plan for a larger monthly allowance.

Frequently asked questions

Does a longer conversation cost more? Each message costs a little more as a conversation grows, because the AI re-reads recent history. Each message is capped, though. The number of messages matters more than the length of the conversation.

Does uploading a large file use a lot of credits? Processing a document uses credits, and longer documents use more. The document's summary also adds some reading to later AI work in that space.

Am I charged if a generation fails? No. Only successful work counts.

Am I charged when Friday Force retries an image automatically? No. Automatic retries and quality checks are included. Edits and regenerations you request do count.

Do unused credits roll over? Plan credits reset each billing period and don't roll over. Credits you buy separately never expire.

Why did one campaign use much more than another? Campaign usage depends on what the campaign creates. Video, carousels and images make the biggest difference, followed by the number of posts and blogs.
